Introduction to Theatre

Primarily geared towards sixth grade students, Intro to Theatre Arts focuses on introducing beginning theatrical techniques and history to students.

At WFMS, this means that students who have never taken a theatre class at our school will gain a working knowledge of what theatre is, both past and present.

In class, students will learn basic knowledge of acting skills, improvisation, and pantomime. They will learn history of theatre, including Greek theatre, Italian commedia dell'arte, Shakespeare, and modern Broadway. Students will also be introduced to technical theatre, it's jobs, and purposes.
