Mrs. Henderson was raised primarily in North Carolina. She studied Theatre at Meredith College, and was lucky enough to study theatre abroad in London in the summer of 2011. Graduating Meredith in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, a Communications minor, and a k-12 license to teach Theatre, she was lucky enough to be in a college space that allowed her to become a well-rounded theatre educator, and an advocate for all students, no matter their gender, orientation, race, or religion. 

 

Mrs. Henderson has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels, and has found a home at Wake Forest Middle for her fourth year now! In her 6th year teaching, she enjoys teaching Shakespeare, doing after-school productions, and being the Equity team Co-Chair and the Fine Arts department head! She also heads both the Drama and SAGA clubs, is Co-lead for the Musical Theatre club with Mr. Nieves, and helps out with Battle of the Books with our WFMS librarian, Ms. Munroe.

 

Mrs. Henderson lives at home with her 3 year old, Kaiden, and her "fur-babies": two dogs, Luke and Auggie, and the "garage cat", Molly. Mrs. Henderson loves musicals, and especially singing them, despite her impressive lack of ability, and much to the despair of her family and  students!!!
