Dramatics

Primarily geared towards seventh grade students, Dramatics focuses on introducing technical theatre and playwriting to students.

If taken in the fall, students will spend the semester building and painting both sets and props for both of our mainstage productions, as well as working any other technical elements needed for the shows. They will learn the duties of the various technical positions, and basic light and sound techniques.

If taken in the spring, students will spend the semester writing scenes that will be performed in staged readings. This class requires one after-school performance as part of their grade for the semester. The date will be chosen at the beginning of the semesterand given to both parents and students.

**This class is only open for seventh and eighth grade students who have taken Intro. to Theatre and passed with a C or better with recommendation from Mrs. Henderson.
